At Country Swim School we take pride in the training and years of experience our instructors have. Because we believe in the importance of ongoing lessons and continuity in teaching, we hire teachers who plan on being with us for years.
Sue Lowe: Sue has been teaching swimming for over 45 years. She started her aquatic career in Ohio and after moving back to Lincoln, taught at the YMCA and a private pool for a few years. Sue was the Aquatic Director for the YMCA for six years before starting the Country Swim School in September 1989. Sue enjoys teaching all ages and levels, but especially loves teaching Water Babies.
Robin Lowe: Robin has been teaching lessons for over 35 years. Her aquatic career started in Barberton, Ohio with swim lessons and then joining the swim team. After moving to Lincoln she continued participating in swim team until her senior year of high school. Robin took lifeguard training and worked as a lifeguard, instructor and coach throughout her high school and college years.
Robin completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Teaching at the University of Virginia. After graduating, Robin nannied for a year in northern Virginia and then moved back home where she joined her mother Sue at Country Swim School. When Robin first moved back she substitute taught at several public schools, taught swim lessons and coached our USA Swimming Team. As the Swim School’s needs grew Robin became a partner in the business and began teaching lessons full time.
If you have questions about our gardens, Robin is the person to ask.
Tina Petracek: Tina has been teaching swimming lessons full time for the Country Swim School since 2000. She first came to Country Swim School to participate in a Water Exercise Class. After noticing Tina’s interest in the children’s swimming lessons, Sue asked if she would like to become involved. After completing her lifeguard training, Tina became a full time instructor at Country Swim School.
